China Railway Used Peristaltic Hose Pump
China Railway Used Peristaltic Hose Pumps have become the core fluid transportation equipment in TBM construction and railway tunnel construction due to their leakage-free, strong self-priming and wear-resistant characteristics.
Leadcrete Equipment is a long-term partner of China Railway Equipment, specializing in the supply of Peristaltic Hose pumps for TBM. Peristaltic Hose pumps have a wide range of applications in TBM, and can basically cover the entire life cycle of railway tunnels.

TBM excavation support
Bentonite slurry transportation: In soft soil strata, TBMs need to stabilize the excavation surface by injecting bentonite slurry. Peristaltic pumps can continuously transport high-viscosity slurries to prevent landslides and reduce cutterhead wear. For example, in a tunnel project on the China-Laos Railway, Shanghai Juxing Pump Industry’s JHXIN-80 pump was used, with a flow rate of 30-40m³/h and a pressure of 16bar, meeting the needs of large-flow and high-pressure transportation.
Chemical grouting reinforcement: In broken strata, chemical grouting materials such as polyurethane and epoxy resin need to be injected. The hose material of the peristaltic pump can be customized to F-NBR (fluororubber), which is resistant to chemical corrosion and ensures long-term stable operation.
Tunnel lining and backfill
Backfill grouting behind the wall: After TBM excavation, the gap between the shield shell and the tunnel wall needs to be filled by grouting. Peristaltic pumps can deliver single-liquid (cement mortar) or double-liquid (cement slurry + accelerator) grouting materials to adapt to different geological conditions. For example, in a biological grouting model test, two peristaltic pumps were used to deliver soybean urease solution and cementing liquid respectively, which were mixed through a Y-type joint and injected into the backfill layer to achieve rapid solidification.
Secondary lining grouting: In the construction of high-speed railway tunnels, secondary lining needs to be filled with concrete defects by grouting. The precise metering function of the peristaltic pump (repeatability ±1%) can ensure that the grouting amount meets the design requirements and improves the safety of the structure.
Emergency rescue and maintenance
Water leakage control: Water leakage is a common disease in railway tunnel operation. Peristaltic pumps can deliver fast-curing materials such as water glass and polyurethane to achieve high-pressure plugging. For example, in a high-speed railway tunnel leakage repair project, a micro-electric high-pressure peristaltic pump was used with a pressure of 8MPa, and the construction efficiency was increased by 50% compared with traditional pumps.
Insulation layer construction in frozen soil areas: In tunnels in frozen soil areas such as the Qinghai-Tibet Railway, peristaltic pumps are required to transport insulation materials (such as polyurethane foam) to form an insulation layer. Its low shear force characteristics can avoid material stratification and ensure construction quality
