High speed bentonite mixers use a rotating head (e.g., a rotor-stator structure) to generate high shear forces, with shear rates reaching 20,000 to 100,000 s⁻¹, typically at rotational speeds of 10-50 m/s (up to 3,600 rev/min). This shear force quickly breaks down agglomerates between bentonite particles, dispersing them evenly in water to form a colloidal suspension. In addition to bentonite, the equipment can also process immiscible liquids such as water, cement, and additives (e.g., oil-water interfaces). The multi-directional velocity components (rotational, longitudinal, horizontal, vertical, and radial) generated by the rotating head achieve uniform mixing and reduce droplet size to 2-10 µm.
High shear speed grout mixers offer high shear efficiency, rapid dispersion, uniform mixing, and anti-sticking properties in bentonite mixing. They can significantly improve the mixing efficiency and quality of bentonite slurries and are suitable for projects requiring high mixing uniformity.
The railway colloid grouting mixer is a special equipment designed for railway projects (such as bridges, tunnels, roadbeds, track slabs, etc.). Its core function is to efficiently prepare highly stable colloid slurry and achieve precise metering, automatic mixing and continuous grouting.
High shear speed grout mixer machine is a high speed high shear colloidal grout mixer. It has been designed for use either in conjunction with a conventional paddle mixer and pump or, by virtue of its own built in impeller pump, as a stand-alone mix and place machine. The unit will rapidly and efficiently mix various types of grout which can include cement, bentonite and sand.
